“The squiggly lines of the curvatures foot

All seem to dance in the bowl sporadically.

The end of one meets another’s beginning.

I wonder and wander, I dangle afoot

And yet my mind wanders towards this

Delicious food.

I wait in excitement. I scurry in excess.

Then humble my mind to produce less extravagance.

No longer a vagabond

But a desirer of meat and food and egg and yolk.

I break fast.

I eat. I dine…in the work of art of my mind.”
